Seasoned Chicken Wings

 Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs. small chicken wings, about 15.
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 T. cornstarch
  • 1 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. ground ginger
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/3 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Bake wings for 30 minutes, turning once.  Drain fat.
  3. Combine remaining ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and boils, about three minutes.
  4. Brush some of the sauce onto the chicken wings.  Return to the oven and bake for about 40 minutes.  While the wings are baking, brush occasionally with the remaining sauce.
