Smoked Salmon Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 10-oz purchased fresh pizza crust
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1.4 c. minced red onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh or dried dill
  • 1 tsp grated lemon peel
  • 1 tsp capers, rinsed (optional)
  • 4-6 oz thinly sliced smoked salmon
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet and bake until the edges are crisp, about 13 minutes.
  3. Transfer crust to rack; cool to lukewarm.
  4. Blend cream cheese with the onion, dill, lemon peel, and capers.  Season with salt & pepper
  5. Spread the cheese topping over the crust, leaving a 1-inch border.  Top with salmon.
  6. Slice the pizza and transfer it to a platter.  Serve with lemon wedges.
