APPLE CRISP
APPLE CRISP
Ingredients:
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 c. rolled oats
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1⁄2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 1⁄2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. butter
- 2 quarts peeled, cored, and sliced apples
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine the flour, oatmeal, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Cut butter into the mixture until crumbly.
3. Take half of the mixture and pat it into the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking dish.
4. Cover crumb mixture with apple slices, then sprinkle apples with remaining crumb mixture.
5. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until apples are tender.
